Like many events, the card was shuffled due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, in addition to the usual changes. Cynthia Arceo withdrew vs. Itzel Esquivel and Kelly D'Angelo was in, but the bout was canceled on fight day due to testing for COVID-19.

Invicta takes advantage of the Kansas Athletic Commission's Open Scoring option. There are fears that if a fighter knows s/he is well ahead going into the third, it can lead to a lackluster final round. However, the wise fighter knows how he or she got there, and doesn't change. Erin Blanchfield was up 20-18 after two, and won the third by 10-8 too.
The event was held in front of an empty arena.
