Nate Diaz: Who is Colby Covington?
"No, I don’t enjoy it at all. But I do enjoy getting it done, what I’ve been doing for so long. ... I don’t want to be all full of myself and cocky and $#!@ but I got way too much money to be having to fight somebody that’s not interesting. ... The realest and the best fighters, the best martial artists fighting each other. Not no phony ass $#!@ with some guy who’s been in the UFC for two years, had a couple good fights and is the champ. We’ll see if they’re still champs next year or the year after. Or even around at all." And what about Colby Covington? ”Who? Who is he?mWhat weight? I don’t know who that is so if we got somebody good to fight, that’s who I want to fight, that’s what I’m saying. You got to do something. If you’ve been here for two weeks and get a little hype show, I don’t give a $#!@.” h/t MMA Mania • Watch post-fight ESPN interview (7:03)
Dana White gets it, at last
In 2014 UFC president Dana White infamously said Nate Diaz was not a needle mover. The simple fact though is that in a league that describes itself as "As real as it gets," more than any other fighters, the Diaz brothers are as real as it gets, as White now acknowledges, 15 years into Nate's pro career: “He’s a needle-mover now.” Nate knows that too: “Everybody’s here and gone, here and gone, and I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ I’m still here. ... Now we’re fighting for the baddest-motherf@$%er-in-the-game belt, and that’s mine." In an event that crowned a new and again Baddest Man on the Planet, Nate Diaz proved again that he is the UFC's most compelling star, and maybe its biggest. h/t MMA Fighting

DC: Only thing that will get me back in the Octagon is righting this wrong
Daniel Cormier: “I don’t have to fight. I make a lot of money outside of the Octagon, I’ve made a lot of money fighting, and I’ve done a lot of special things. It would essentially be a matter of me wanting to go back and right the wrong of this fight tonight. That would be the only thing that would make me come back to fight, I guess. I don’t know [about retirement] right now. Everything right now feels like 'no', but it’s emotional. You just lost. I think you ask yourself that question in a couple of weeks when everything slows down and you’re surrounded by the people that really love you and life becomes normal again. When life becomes normal again, I should ask myself that question, “Do I want to be a professional athlete anymore?” because there is no shortcut in it. I worked so extremely hard to try and prepare myself to win this fight, and I lost. So I’d have to figure it out.” h/t BE • Watch post-fight press conference (7:23)

Henry Cejudo likes fight vs. Jose Aldo
“I’m healing pretty quickly, but I’m still not 100 percent. It’s going to be maybe another three-to-four-month process before I can eventually start training again ... I’m going to have a new shoulder pretty much. I have a screw in my bone pretty much. It happened in the first round against Marlon, which is why I threw nothing but right hands. The will to win. I’m just excited to see what the future holds for me. ... At the end of the day, I own two weight divisions. I own the 125-pound, I am the kingpin at the flyweight division and bantamweight division, and there’s a lot of big names. It ain’t just Joseph Benavidez. ... We just heard Frankie Edgar is making the way down. ... The other one is – Jose Aldo said it today. He called me out. He’s coming down to 135 pounds. There’s a lot of great excitement in the bantamweight division and the announcement will be made tomorrow night on ESPN.” h/t MMA Junkie
DC names the strongest person he ever felt
"The other day we started to grapple, and Khabib jumped on top of me. And, I'm like okay, I'm just gonna get up when I want to, but that is not the case. He is literally the strongest person I may have ever felt. It was amazing to me to think a guy that weights 175, 180 pounds, was able to do that to me. It's positional control, it's strength. He's a phenomenal athlete, man. And, just one of the greatest stars mixed martial arts has ever seen." h/t TMZ Sports
